Valeo Innovation Challenge

The Valeo Innovation Challenge was a worldwide competition for university students that asked us to come up with innovations to improve the car of 2030. Ied a team to compete in it in 2014 and 2015. Both years we were selected in the top 20 out of over 1000 teams and given a grant of €10,000 to build a prototype.

2014 - Wireless Power Transfer

In 2014 my team proposed developing a wireless power transfer system to power vehicles on major roadways to eliminate the need for massive battery packs for electric vehicles, drastically decreasing their cost to manufacture.

2015 - Active Suspension

In 2015, we proposed an active suspension system to massively improve both vehicle handling and ride comfort.

Ford Catalyst Challenge - Mobility Arm

An employee innovation challenge at Ford Motor company that asked us to come up with new products or solutions that would enhance the experience or performance of Ford automobiles. My team decided to tackle wheelchair accessibility by designing a system to automatically load and store a wheelchair in the back of a Ford SUV or van such as the Explorer.

Virtual Formula 2017

VF2017 was a competition to use vehicle dynamics simulation software to design the optimum Formula Student Electric suspension and drivetrain system. My team competed against roughly 10 other teams and took 2nd place overall.
