Slippery-Slope
Slippery-Slope is a 4WD wedge-bot competing in the 3lb, beetleweight, class. The design intent of Slippery-Slope is to be the fastest and best armored 'bot in whatever competition I enter it in. My first iteration of it was completed in junior high school with parts that I had at-hand, although it was not particularly effective, I was hooked on the sport. The current iteration has done quite well, with a record of 7W and 4L, in its first two tournaments, taking 3rd and 4th at the most recent two Western Allied Robotics NWHME events.
This was an incredibly satisfying match. After my rear frame rail failed due to battle damage from a previous match that I didn't have time to repair, I was able to recover and fulfill the perfect victory for this kind of 'bot: A Pitting!
Gigajoule
Gigajoule is a 1lb horizontal spinner that attempts to be the opposite of Slipery-Slope. It intends to be the hardest hitting 'bot in any fight but isn't particularly fast or durable. I first designed and built it in 2015.
